In modern life, cars have become an essential companion for people's daily lives.

However, many car owners often cause damage to their vehicles, even endangering driving safety, due to careless behavior during daily use. Today, we'll discuss some precautions for daily car use.

Before starting your vehicle, it's crucial to walk around it. Check the tires for normal pressure, bulges, nails, and any obstructions. Once inside, adjust the seat and mirrors, and fasten your seatbelt.

When starting a manual transmission car, ensure the gear is in neutral. For automatic transmission cars, put the car in P and apply the brake to avoid damaging the transmission by starting with a gear engaged.

After starting a cold car, there's no need to idle for extended periods to warm it up. Idle for 30 seconds to a minute, wait for the revs to stabilize, and then slowly drive until the water temperature returns to normal.

While driving, strictly adhere to the gear selection rules. When shifting in a manual transmission, fully depress the clutch.

Never shift directly into P or R while driving in an automatic transmission. Maintain a reasonable speed and distance between vehicles.

Maintain a reaction distance of at least two seconds from the vehicle ahead on urban roads, increasing this to over four seconds on highways, and doubling it in rainy and snowy conditions.

Slow down and honk your horn before approaching intersections and curves. At night, switch to low beam headlights 150 meters ahead of oncoming vehicles.

Drive even more cautiously in unusual road conditions. Reduce speed in rainy conditions and avoid sudden braking or swerving.

When passing through flooded roads, make sure the water depth does not exceed half the tires before proceeding slowly.

Install snow chains on icy or snowy roads, start in low gear, brake with a light braking motion, and use gentle steering movements.

Daily maintenance is essential. For engine maintenance, change the engine oil and oil filter according to the manual's instructions, check the coolant level regularly, and change the antifreeze every two to three years.

For tire maintenance, check tire pressure monthly, including the spare tire, and rotate the tire every 10,000 kilometers.

Replace tires if the tread depth is less than 1.6 mm or cracks appear.

Maintain the electrical system, regularly check the battery terminals, replace wiper blades every 6-12 months, and choose windshield washer fluid according to the season.

Developing good car habits not only prolongs your vehicle's lifespan but also ensures safety on every trip. Dear car owners, have you memorized these daily precautions?
