In Peru, various malfunctions may occur when cars are modified with natural gas. Here are some common malfunctions and their solutions:

Engine malfunction light on

Blockage of gas pipeline: Blockage of gas pipeline or filter can cause the gas to be unable to flow, resulting in engine misfire, driving shaking, decreased power, unstable idle speed, and other situations. The solution is to use professional equipment to detect the gas path and promptly clean up the blocked area.

Electronic circuit failure: After modification, the added electronic equipment controls the gas system. If there is a problem with the electronic circuit, it may cause the engine malfunction light to light up, and there may also be issues such as inaccurate temperature readings and slow acceleration. Professional equipment is required to detect electronic circuits and replace or repair damaged circuits.

Engine malfunction itself, such as ignition system failure, fuel injector issues, etc., can also cause the engine malfunction light to illuminate. It is necessary to use professional equipment to test the engine, repair or replace faulty parts.

Sensor malfunction: If there is a problem with the newly added sensor after modification, it will cause the engine malfunction light to turn on. Sensors need to be tested, and damaged sensors should be replaced or repaired.

Oil to gas conversion operation failed

Pressure regulator solenoid valve failure: If the solenoid valve is damaged or there is a circuit problem (such as short circuit, open circuit, or reverse connection) that prevents it from opening, natural gas cannot pass through. The solenoid valve itself and circuit should be checked, and repair or replacement should be carried out if necessary.

Unstable power supply of the transfer switch: The transfer switch requires stable power support. If there is a problem with the power line from the battery or ignition switch, the oil and gas conversion will be blocked. It is necessary to ensure that the power circuit is free of faults and seek professional maintenance if necessary.

Internal logic issue of the conversion switch: If the green light flashes abnormally during the oil to gas conversion process, it may indicate a problem with the internal logic circuit of the switch. It is necessary to promptly investigate and repair or replace the conversion switch to restore its normal function.

Difficulty starting when the car is cold or hot, or no response from the starter when starting

Fuel system issue: Check if the fuel tank is full and if the fuel pump is working. If the oil pump does not work, check the circuit part, such as whether the oil pump power line has electricity. If there is no electricity, check whether the oil pump fuse and oil pump relay are damaged. If they are damaged, replace them.

Gas section issue: Check if the gas section control computer is working properly and if the spray hose has come loose, causing air leakage and poor sealing of the intake manifold. If the control computer malfunctions and causes the fuel injector to not spray fuel, resulting in difficulty starting, the control computer needs to be replaced or repaired.

Battery level and starter problem: Check the battery level, if it is insufficient, repair, charge or replace it; If the battery is fully charged, check if the starter has any faults. If it does not work properly, repair, maintain or replace the starter.

The engine can start, but after starting, the conversion gas will stall or not be converted

Gas supply issue: Check the gas pressure gauge and check if there is natural gas in the gas storage cylinder. If there is no pressure, it indicates that the natural gas in the cylinder is insufficient or has been used up, and needs to be refilled.

Gas system component malfunction: Check if the gas computer, spray rail, and pressure reducing valve are working properly. If a malfunction is found, repair or replace the gas kit.

Switch malfunction: Check the gas switch. If the switch indicator light is not on or inaccurate, repair or replace the gas switch.

Temperature sensor issue: Check if the temperature sensor wire plug is loose or detached, and if the internal components are damaged. If damaged, repair or replace the temperature sensor.

High pressure solenoid valve problem: Check if the high pressure solenoid valve is damaged, repair or replace if damaged; If the high-pressure solenoid valve is working properly, check the high-pressure solenoid valve circuit to determine if it is a circuit fault.
